Ojeenmma Plant
Ojeenmma Plant
This spectacular habanero-type pepper variety was introduced to us by Solomon Amuzu, our partner in Ghana. The indigenous Ga people of Accra discovered and began cultivating Ojeenmma over 200 years ago. Ojeenmma means "aromatic," and this delicious pepper lives up to its name! It is usually blended with tomato, onions, ginger, and garlic and served with traditional fermented corn doughs like kenkey or banku. This disease- and pest-resistant variety is still widely cultivated throughout Ghana and is super easy to grow!
